RE: generator question

please don't run it in a CG or parked next to me. They are one noisy gen set and can get you in trouble with your neighbors

RE: A bad day camping...

nothing will get my dander worked up than have someone give my site away to another person. Like Seinfeld said in one of his shows, they know how to take reservations, just don't know how to keep them. Offer you a refund, plus gas money plus paying for your new site just for good PR, you know. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

RE: Toilet drip when flushing

you should be able to get a new valve, look to see what model and brand you have and take that info to your dealer and hopefully they will have the part. be advised, they are not cheap. I will say between 30 and 50 dollars.

RE: Sewer Question

personally I wouldn't use the awning tie downs, if you leave for a hike per se, the wind may come up and rip the awning right off the side of the TT. if you are at the TT and the wind comes up, just roll up the awning and safe yourself some grief and money for that matter.

RE: Rope Lights for awning

buy the ones wal mart have and they are a lot cheaper than CW sells them for. they usually have them with the Christmas tree lights. you might have to wait for them to come back into season

RE: Having generator problems got a few questions.

put a soft start in the A/C and it will not burden the generator so much

RE: Did I choose the wrong gear ratio 3.73?

you living back east is not a problem when it comes to pulling over the small hills. Now if you were living out west then yes you made a mistake. 4.10's would be a better choice. that stuff you guys call mountains back east are just rolling hills to us.

RE: electric tongue jack

This is just my opinion, but my barker lasted 20 years plus. The only reason I got a new barker is I bought a new TT and wanted a new jack. I highly recommend the Barker jacks.

RE: Help with how to

I have used rat tailed files and of course the grinding wheel on a drill is much faster. just keep checking to see if the jack will go through, no need to take to much off the hole. if you take too much off the jack will move and you will have too much movement in the TT when camping. the jack will wobble in the large hole.

RE: Painted my trailer tongue .... warning. Lots of pics!!

thanks a lot! You have gone and done it. You have shamed me, now I am going to have to paint mine. Or would it be easier to just trade it in before I get too far ahead of myself??

RE: It happened again!

you are doing your pull test with the landing gear too high. I would try it with them in a lower position

RE: Cleaning Black Tank

you have the best black tank cleaning device ever invented in your tank. I take it your dealer didn't tell or show you how to use it. they are 10000% better than any thing like a flush king. you just turn on the water hose and listen for the water to hit the six sides of the tank. this cleans off any black material that clings to the inside of the tank. do this with or with out the valves opened. if you have the valves closed, don't let the water run too long as it will fill the tank and blow it out the toilet or the vent on the roof. you sould have clean water running out of the tank in just a few gallons. let flush king users claim that

RE: If you dont travel with the FW tank full???

it just depends on where I go camping. Most of my favorite places have places close by that I fill my tanks. I boon dock in eastern Oregon a lot and the places I gas up have nice cold water wells and I fill up my tank plus several 6 gallon totes. this will take care of our needs for several weeks

RE: what if?

since the bozo thinks the costs of living is not high enough for old people for two years that we need a costs of living increase, it has been a little rough making ends meet, so our camping suffers
