RE: diagnostic plug location

The one in the back is more than likely for the Allison, there should be another up under the dash for the engine..Mike M..

RE: Class A Tire Size Substitution

There should be a sticker on the wall to the left of the driver's seat or somewhere in that area that has tire and wheel size with the air pressure for the tires.. Also the rating of the chassis and axles.. If that is gone or can't be found call the Monaco tech line(1-877-666-2262).. It should also be in the manual if you have one..Mike M..

RE: Valve extenders

There is a rubber hose inside the braided stainless.. We change ours when we change tires, 5 to 6 years on the front, 6 to 7 years on the back.. Put them on myself and so far haven't had a problem.. They are Wheel Master from CW.. Mike M..

RE: Sears 6 volt golf cart

Saw 6 volt GC batteries at Sams Club for $78 with 205AH today.. Some golf carts use 8 volt as do some fork lifts and the such.. We use to replace 6 volt on farm tractors to 8 so they would turn the engine faster to start easyer..Mike M.. PS: We have Trojans(4)(since '09) and they've been good so far..

RE: Replacing Iota 50R Transfer Switch

Replaced ours just last winter while setting in the South.. It would not transfer voltage from the gen.. When I tore it apart the points were burnt.. I got one from Alliance Coach that is made in Elkhart, that is suppose to be rebuildable.. Mike M..

RE: need info on 2002 holiday rambler ambassor- may buy

Not all '02 Ambassitors with 4 air bags had the bad trailing arm issue.. You would have to look at them to tell.. Also you can get a price break for Monaco's updated trailing arms at the Pusher gathering if it is an issue and you have the ones that need changed.. Our coach had the bad ones so we've been threw this.. PM me if you have questions and hopefully I can answer.. Mike M..

RE: 2002 Monaco Windsor 40PBT ABS light stays on

In our case it was a wheel sensor.. It got so hot that it melted and fall out.. I got one at NAPA for about $75 and changed it myself.. We didn't need to diagnose anything so I can't help you there.. I just crawled under the coach and checked each wheel sensor til I came to the bad one.. You might try taking each wheel sensor out and clean and put back.. If that is the trouble, then take the coach out for a drive and it will reboot itsself and the light should go out.. I think you have to go over 25 mph for this to happen, so you really don't to go far or fast..Good luck..Mike M..

RE: K&N Air Filter

If I remember right Gale Banks run tests on the high flow filters the outcome was they aren't worth the money and can let larger particales of dirt in and the flow was not that much better, if any on some other OEM paper filters.. Even though he puts them in his kits, it because the public wants them he says.. I think those tests are still on his site.. Just thought I'd throw that out there.. Mike M.. PS: I have used them on vehicles, but not one with a diesel/turbo, too much at stake..

RE: fuel problem

If you are running in hot and humid weather, it could vapor locking on you.. The 460 Fords were/are famous for this.. Mike M..

RE: Help!!!!!! No power

Since you didn't give us much info(50 amp, inverter or converter, Auto Transfer Switch) all we can do is guess?? If you have an inverter, check the breakers on it.. Tough I would start at the pedistal with a volt meter and work my way into the coach.. If you have a Auto transfer switch, I'd check it to make sure the voltage is going to the main panel.. As someone else has said after checking all of the GFI's and still no power.. Mike M..

RE: Shore power won't run anything

I would start where the shore line goes into the coach, it should go into a box, that should be your auto transfer switch, that is what switches your power from shore to generator and back after you shut the gen off.. I would open the box and check volt when you're hooked into shore power, if it is coming in but not going out, the ATS is bad and needs to be replaced.. I just changed ours as it was not transfering voltage to the coach from the gen.. I got one made in Elkhart In. Elkhart Supply Company.. $192.50 and it took me about 2 hours to change.. Mike M..
