RE: Chev 2500 camper mirrors

I swaped my smaller mirrors with OEM Camper mirrors when I got the truck. They block the view behind the mirrors. But I have adjusted to them and like them alot.

RE: Chrysler's earnings quadruple

I have had three Mopar cars in the past and all three were problen cars. However, if I had the money I would get a Challenger. That car is nice.

RE: outside kitchens and sinks

Probably the black tank is closer then the gray tank to your sink. Easer to plumb. Also a little more water in the black tank may be a good thing.

RE: A Hybrid in FL in late June?

RE: Dodge 2012 2500 Deisel or gas ?

With my gas Chevy I was getting 6-7 mpg. With my Duramax I get 11.5 to 13 mpg towing the same TT. So, for every 3 gallons of gas I used towing. I now use 2 gallons of diesel. My Chevy was a 1/2 ton. My Duramas is a 3/4 ton. As a daily driver the gaser is better. But, I like a 3/4 ton truck for other stuff.

RE: Bikes On Front Of Truck/If You Do, How Do You Like?

I have two bikes on the front of my Chevy 2500 HD. I purchased a men's bicycle bar for the girls bicycle. This bar makes both bicycles the same height. The bar goes between the seat and handle bars. I lower the seats and have had no problems. You have to play with your setup and see what you like. Ticket? Prove I can't see. Insurance? Prove it. You ever get a ticket because your head light's plastic became fogged up? Look at all of the city buses that have bicycle racks on the front of them.

RE: Duramax LMM

Some times the MAF sensor can get oil on it from the K&N filter. Clean the sensor and stick the OEM filter back in. If you wnat to use an aftermarket filter on a Durmax LMM, it should be a dry filter.

RE: Warming up my LMM

For the first 3 miles I keep it under 40 mph. Year around.

RE: Cummins/Ram snow plow mode

Sounds like a cheat code on a video game. Looks like they did not want you to use the snow plow mode by accident. Nice feature.. What is snow? None of my vehicles have been in snow.

RE: Allison and Dodge

For the 2011 Chevy/GMC they increased the power of the Durmax and made the Allison stronger. Sounds like an improvement to me.

Route 66 RV Network. Any one used them for repairs?

I like the Evergreen Everlite TTs; however, the closest dealer is on the west coast of Florida and I live on the east coast of Florida. The dealer told me if I needed repairs under warranty I could use Route 66 for any warranty work or repairs. What do you think? Any one use Route 66 for RV repairs? Route 66 Thanks

RE: convection toaster oven

Place 2 potatos on a plate cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on high 9 min, depending on the power of your microwave, and let sit while you prepare your other food items. More potatos will require more time. Adjust the time to your likes. Or toss them in a campfire. I love sweet potatos baked on a fire. I have two microwaves in the stick house and one in the TT.

Kitchen located on a slide. Good or bad?.

I see a lot of floor with the kitchen on a slide. This allows the dinette to be located on the curb side which is a floor plan I like. Anyone have any problems with the kitchen located on the slide? Whats the good and bad of this floor plan?

RE: Acorns!

Put a tarp over the TT until the acorns stop falling. Then remove the tarp. Oak trees make nice fire wood.

RE: Are all Thousand Trails Parks like this?

We went for a free weekend two years ago. The price was $14,000. $10,000 if you did not want the use of the cabins. The membership was for 10 years. They no longer sell lifetime memberships. They also sell zone memberships. I don't camp enough to justify the cost. We stayed in Orlando. I like the campground.

RE: Help! The sink melted.

Read the entire label on the product. If it mentions nothing about potentially melting plastics, a letter to Avon would the first avenue I'd pursue. Those folks just might buy you a sink! Worth a try. Yea, if that stuff can burn a hole thru plastic, would we really want it on our skin? o.O Why do you think the bugs don't like that stuff?

RE: Jayco 29QBH bed

I just looked at that TT a my local Jayco dealer. I noticed about 5 or 6 inches from the bed to the entertainment center. It is a very tight fit. I don't think you would be able to make a 60 X 80 mattress fit.

RE: Fuel issues

If you don't want the fuel can. Then leave it out and let someone steal it. :B
