RE: rebuilding HWH leveler

Had two bad jacks; asked if HWH would rebuild them; answer was no; had to buy two new jacks; lots of luck on a rebuild.

RE: CoachNet

I"ve had GS for 20 years and have used them more time than I care to say; they always call within an hour and ask if the service has arrived; Once on the fourth of july they were there in less than 30 minutes, they always call back again and ask if the sevice was satisfactury.

RE: Might be time to trade up

Go up on the roof and check all of the seams, skylights, vents, a/c's and anything else that is up there.
and go under and look for anything leaking

RE: What would you do?

I love the rule that says no acohole beverages and the garabage cans are full of beer cans.
I"m sure those were carried in the campground as empties.

RE: AC hard start cap

I don"t know much about hard start caps so I ordered two; one with a start relay and one without; I"ll try each one to see if one of them will get my air to work right.
When I turn the temperature down to get the air to come on I can here a relay come on; sometimes two or three times befor the compressor comes on; sometimes the compressor don't come on at all. and it scares me and I just turn the air off for awhile, befor trying again.
The fan runs just fine.

RE: Dry Camping Question

When they start installing holding tanks in tents------then I will get serious of never dumping grey water on the ground.

RE: How long do the radiator hoses last on a V10 F53?

I have a 1985 toyota pu toad; with 185,000 miles still has the orignal hoses; biggest enemy of hoses is oil and grease; change your antifreese every 4 years and keep you engine oil and grease free and never worry about your hoses; fan belts should be good for 100,000 miles; just keep checking them for cracks.

RE: Dry Camping Question

Heres one of those that will get the tree huggers realy happy:
I read sometime ago that there was a movement to put diapers on cattle. putting all that waste on the ground; going into our drinking water; nasty; nasty.

RE: Dry Camping Question

Thank everyone!! I filled it up And ready to go!! And no gray water dumpping for me!
Good decision!
We always travel with full fresh, empty black and grey.
Coach seems to like this configuration.
Just spent 4 days dry camping at a music festival with another couple and we had to travel home with 1/4 fresh, 3/4 grey and 1/2 black.
We all took daily "boat showers" and thus were able to stretch the 110 gallons of fresh water and not fill the grey tank.
BTW, dumping grey water is not legal in Florida.
but you can buy it for $18.00 a month to put on yard yard in florida. it's called reclaimed (not grey water when you have to buy it)

RE: Dry Camping Question

The county in Florida where I live charges $18.00 a month for reclaimed water piped to your property; They call it reclaimed; what it really is; is sewer water with the lumps removed; smells just like my black tank when I dump.
That I don't put on my yard; my neighbor does and boy does it stink.
They say sign up for this service and you will never need to fertilize your yard' the county uses this to sell the service.

RE: Buying a Used Class A

Their right about sinking 3-5k into it once you get it due to age. I was totally robbed on 1989 fleetwood flair. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse my mechanic told me the other day I have leaks in my intake valves front and back. I'm on my second box of tissues...
If you were to buy it for $7000 (thats what I'd offer them) I'm sure they will say; no way.
you will spend $3000 on it before you make your first big trip.
