RE: New problem with Kwikee Steps/Solved I hope

I had the same problem on a motor a little over a yr old.
Take the motor off and on the gear end is a small gear, take this gear off and remove 3 screws on the plate.
remove plate and there will be 3 small round bumpers. They are probably deformed.
Go to Autozone, in the help section there will be a Dorman replacement for these bumpers.
The function of these bumpers is to absorb shock to prevent stripping of gears.
I have had this problem twice and feel that the dorman bumpers could be defective but at Autozone they have a lifetime warranty.

RE: RMP3 failure

When I did the rear cap, I did not wash after bar keeper(I think and @ at 76 years it is vague sometimes).
On the rest of the coach I washed 2 times after barkeeper and maybe this is the key.
Thanks again: Ken

RE: RMP3 failure

Thanks for the replies.
I probably did not prepare as well as I should.
No paint or oil problem.
I will remove RMP 3 and start over.
I did get 3 inches of rain on it but water should not affect it.
The painted bumper and plastic parts seems to be all right.
The end cap was the first thing I did.
Am snakebit now, but I am hardhead and will try again.
Thanks again

RMP3 failure

Went out to storage unit today.Rear cap was coated w/RMP3 approx 3 mo. ago and today it is peeling off all over the cap.Nowhere else on the coach could I see any peeling.
The end cap is only part exposed to sun and weather, all else is under cover.

RE: water system problem

Sounds like a check valve in the water pump has or is failing.
Have read posts on here about this problem.
Do a search for water pump check valve problem.
Good luck.

Allure flooring install question

I am thinking about replacing carpet w/Allure.
When Allure is installed what is your solution to expansion @ seat mounts?
My couch is bolted down by 2 clips W/ bolts on each side installed over square bar to floor.
The square bar is flat on the carpet.
Thanks for your input.

Kwikee steps

Had a problem with mod 32 steps.Steps would extend, then run for about 3-4 seconds before shut-off.When retracted would do same.Had a thump-thump-thump sound at end of each cycle.
Removed motor took apart.Motor has small round plastic bumpers inside gear box. They should be round but were deformed.
Replaced bumpers with new (Dorman brand @ Autozone Help section).
Fixed!!!! (Second time in 2 yrs)

RE: foggy dull headlights

Use acetone:
Mask off lens.
Saturate a paper towel or cloth with acetone (do not let it drip).
Lightly rub with strokes in same direction.
Done
