RE: Transporting ATV's with Travel Trailer

The link I posted you can also side load. I've also seen hydraulic ones where you load on the ground and then the entire deck is lifted up on the track. The hydraulic ones are about $5k whereas the standard are about half that. I had one and I'm not good with heights so I was not a fan of loading it, I ended up using a winch to load the quads. I ended up getting rid of it and I just double tow now.

RE: Transporting ATV's with Travel Trailer

a sled deck is the obvious choice but for me with the larger quads I wasn't comfortable riding up on it. You also need a 1ton truck here's a couple links to see what I'm talking about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXexN1oaOdQ these seem pretty good too: http://www.diamondbackcovers.com/

RE: Running a Tassimo Coffee maker off a generator

It's the oddest thing, everything else runs fine in the trailer including the microwave and the air conditioning but this coffee maker hates running off a generator. It runs our standard drip coffee maker no problem. I even tried plugging it in to the generator directly with only it plugged in and it's the same thing. The UPS I was referring to was from my computer equipment, I was reading here somewhere about someone using a computer UPS with success. I'll have to try the kill-a-watt and see what it says. It's almost like it's not a capacity issue because it behaves the same when plugged into my honda 3000 or to my little champion 2000.

Running a Tassimo Coffee maker off a generator

I recently picked up a Tassimo coffee maker for the trailer. We use one at the house and have gotten used to the convenience. We ran it off of A/c when at a serviced campground but can't seem to get it to run well off of a generator. To my surprize this thing brings my generator to it's knees (honda eu3000). I had to turn the eco switch off and even then the coffee maker just doesn't behave, it creates a lot more steam and just seems to be labouring. It's also exploded a few cartridges. According to the sticker it uses 1300watts so it should be ok. anyone else experienced the same thing? Next time out I was thinking of taking a smaller UPS, do you think that would help or is it a lost cause?

RE: Champion 2000W inverter generator at Costco

uum, where've you been? There's a 200 page thread in the tech forum about them. http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/24022161.cfm

RE: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator Thread

update... Costco replaced the generator, no questions asked as usual. The new one runs great although the idle does wander a bit. I haven't given it a real test yet but the only thing I did notice is that it doesn't seem to respond to a load as fast as my Honda Eu3000 and it's definately not as quiet. I mostly got this one for times when security is an issue, the Honda does everything I need but it won't fit under my tonneau cover and it's about all I can do to throw it in the truck by myself.

RE: Truck 4x4 and 5th wheel too close problem

My axles are already underneath, what options are their to raise it? Can I use lift blocks?

RE: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator Thread

I put 10w30 in it as it said in the manual.

RE: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator Thread

Help... I just purchased one of these tonite. I put gas and oil (400ml) in it and it fired up after a couple of pulls but then went straight into overload mode (didn't have anything plugged in). I shut if off right away. Now when I attempt to start it the cord has a lot more resistance than it did before and it doesn't start. I got it at costco so it's likely going back unless someone knows a quick solution. PS: is 400ml the correct amount of oil? it says 0.4L throughout the manual but when I put 400ml in it seemed like it wanted to come out the fill port. I measured exactly 400ml and turned it over to make sure there was no oil in it to begin with.
