RE: Rim Replacement

That number doesn't make much sense to me. Normally rims will have a diameter: 16 inches for you, number of studs (say 6) and the distance measured from the center of one stud to the center of an adjacent stud which looks like 6 inches in your original rim. So you should have something like 5X6 or 6 x 6 depending on the number of studs. You cannot use a 6 x 6.5 rim on a 6 x 6 hub because the studs will not fit into the holes on your new rim.
The bolt hole circle is identical. The hub bore is a tad larger on the 6.5. I think I'm going for a refund and continue looking for an exact replacement. Thank you for your reply.

Rim Replacement

I need to replace a bent rim. I have a 2000 Chevy 28' Class C. The rims that came on it are 16x6k Accuride. The only GM rim I can locate right now is a 16x6-1/2J. Is this rim ok to use as a spare. The tires are LT225/75R16.

RE: 2000 Chevy 454 HP / Performance Questions

I have the same set up. Please pm me if you find a good answer to the exhaust. The little 2-1/2" out from the muffler seems a little restrictive to me.

RE: How to seal marker lights?

do not use a lot of sealant, you do and will have to be able to get the lense off in the future. just a small dab will do the trick. You must drive very fast or something, in all the years I have been Rving, I have never lost a lense and I have never used a sealant
ditto on that and I've never replaced a bulb either.

RE: Chevy 3500 Front Brake Shudder / Shaking

Hi fisher60, Thanks for the reply. I believe that the Dutchman 28A has a Ford chassis. The specific brake issue we are experiencing seem to be more evident on the Chevy cutaway van chassis (3500). I don't think the same issue exists on the Chevy based Class A.
I don't understand the difference (design) between the Ford and Chevy cutaway van disk brakes.
The dutchman Express 28A is on a Chevy 3500 chasis.

I've traveled the mountains on the east coast for a number of trips and have not experienced any symtoms like you are describing. Mt brakes are stock.

RE: How to repair hole in rubber roof

I think you can purchase repair kits for these roofs. So I would look that up first and see what size kits are available, then open the puncture up enough to see how much damage under the rubber needs to be repaired.

RE: class c advice

I would be leery of the rig. Not maintained on inside could indicate poorly maintained chassis.
Brakes, tires, transmission and engine could be questionable.

RE: 2000 CHEVY 454 POWER & MILEAGE

My 2000,(registered 2001) 454 gets an average 8.5 mpg. Pulls very well in the mountains of Tenn & W.Va. I use Valvoline 5W-40 Full Synthetic oil, change it @ 5000 and normally add 1 qt between changes.

RE: Tire Valves 2000 Ford E450

I have the wheel covers that stick out from the rims. The front valve stems line up with the holes on the front covers but the rear valve stems are between the tires. What is the best way to set-up the rear wheel valve stems for easy access with those cheap wheel covers?
