RE: insurance experience

I think that you get the multi car discount because the insurance co. doesn't think that you will drive one car all of the time so quite often they will discount the price for the cars some to compensate for the additional cars.
Ron
Very true.
We also use Daughtery and ran into the same thing only in reverse. We wanted to insure only one vehicle and were given a quote. They ask if we had another vehicle and I told them that we were going to sell it but they ask to give a quote on two vehicles. Said go ahead and the quote for two was cheaper than one!
Sold the truck a little later and when I dropped coverage, our premium on the Jeep went up. Recently bought a second car and our premium is the same for both as it was for the Jeep alone.
Daughtery is a broker so they can do some shopping with different companies, all you have to do is ask them to do so.
I have learned to never try and figure out an insurance company and their pricing policy.

Here is your chance to become geeky. For me, I wouldn't want the weight of the unit just to have a wifi antenna.

RE: Silicone bakeware

Go to an FMCA rally or a Good Sam rally. People there sell the good stuff which doesn't allow foods to stick to it and is stiff enough to hold its shape when it is loaded. We have muffin molds, pound cake molds, loaf pans, etc and the DW uses them all the time. There are some things that you still want Pyrex for but for baking, the silicone works great.

RE: Minnesota, South Dakota, bank interest & taxes

If you just became a SD resident, you will still have to pay taxes to MN for that period of time you were a resident there. No way to beat it.

RE: Aluminum Sheet Finishing Options

If you want to leave the aluminum in its natural state, you can treat it with Sharkhide. I use this on my alloy boat and after 6 years, it still looks like it came from the factory. Good stuff

RE: Comparison of RVs

I don't see a bad one in your trio!!! Shop condition and floor plan, and take the best of the bunch...
That being said, we are very pleased with our 04 CC Allure... I'd also add the Intrigue to your list, as it sits between the Allure and Magna line. Not as heavy as the Magna. But respect the others you mentioned...
Best of luck,
Smitty
I couldnt have said it better my self!! its all about the floor plan At this point. That said! Im not sure about the parts and serive on the CC I would ask someone about that for sure.
Parts are readily available. Every CC tech worth his salt, started their own repair business and we now have a wider selection of service providers. Best part is, they know where to get parts. No problem whatsoever.

RE: Comparison of RVs

I once upon a time had a '99 Tradewinds. I also drove the coaches you mentioned and finally settled on a '02 CC Intrigue. The CC line is by far the best handling coach of the bunch, also the best constructed. If you have a choice of a tag, go with it. Gives you another 10,000 pounds GCVW.

RE: City water supply

Sounds like the check valve in the city water inlet is stuck or has failed....
In my experience, it's best to just replace the whole inlet assembly.
Yep!

RE: high miles

By "CC" do you mean a Country Coach? If so, then it is not a 330, it is either a 350 ISC or a 370/400 ISL.
Mine is at almost the 100K mark and I wouldn't be afraid to buy it. 100K is nothing.

RE: Propane Heating Blanket

Used a "electric blanket" for the propane tanks when I was flying hot air balloons. It helped raise the pressure and I did get more output from the burner.
You might try changing your regulator.

One thing to look at. If the wifi is turned on and there isn't any wifi available, the battery will run down in a few hours. Make sure the wifi is turned off
