RE: spot free rinse

Is it really just a piece of PVC with fittings on each end ? I'm thinking there must be more to it than that. the fine sprayer on the end keeps the granules in!

RE: spot free rinse

Someone on here showed my how to make it out of PVC>. 1 inch tube about 24 inches long, hose connector on the end and an adjustable yard sprinkler on the spraying end. Will take photos and post on here in few days if I can figure how to post 'em! the stuff I got wasn't that expensive or as big, but will start research as to where can get smaller quANtities!

RE: spot free rinse

this wasn't a washing powder. it was granules, that were put in a tube and when the water passed through them it de-ionized the water and made it softer and spot free....just thought someone might remember.

spot free rinse

few years ago, on here, someone told of a water filtering system he made using granules that made the water spot free for washing RV's etc. I made one, and it worked. NOW I need the granules and, since my computer died on Christmas day, I have a new one but, don't know where to get the granules to re-fill my spot-free rinser!???

RE: How many RVers dont use a awning?????

When I bought the rig, first thing I did was try to park it next to the house and scraped the awning on the terracotta roof. luckily the DW stopped my. put clear tape on it...3 yeqars later I was parked up in mountains in the rain, wind tore it up so I had to roll it up and tape the torn places...Got new fabric,,,,,year later, still haven't used it! BUT, it's there if I need it!

RE: How to find the "low" side for adding freon? I see 2 caps

I can never understand why people insist on performing service/repairs without the proper tools. A gauge set can be purchased for $50 at Harbor Freight and elsewhere. Save yourself money in the long run and buy it.
$39.95 at Harbor Freight until June 30th!!

RE: HWH Level Jack not coming up

comment on replacing springs! few years ago I had one break. Got info from someone on here: get several 2-1/2 inch washers, force them between the springs down both sides, that will lengthen the spring about 6-7 inches. No problem putting them back on...to add the washers, I put one end of the spring in a vice and bent the spring down, put in a washer, bend it up and put in another washer..do this until you have about 20 washers in the spring!no problem! after you connect it up, put the jacks down and the washers fall out!

RE: Travel advice - Rt 8 Casa Grande, AZ to San Diego

Not to worry! You are in USA, not Mexico. It is an Interstate highway with a 75 MPH speed limit. Stop at Dateland for a date shake and enjoy the ride.
Speed limit is 70! just got back. 65 through some of the mountains!
