RE: Moisture between glass in door

Chastho,
Warranty just expired as I took deliverly in 08. Got two other insurance policies--one told me if it was cracked they would replace it,today there are no cracks, the other plan said no way- maint item.Wait a couple of months and just maybe a crack will appear.
There is a company here in Searcy, AR that repairs the windows. Don't know how big your window is but cost will probably be $200 or less. They have a web site, I think the name is the fog doctor.

RE: 1998 Allegro Bus Air Brake Filter Dryer

Are you getting any moisture in the air tanks?? The dryer will spit every so often to eject moisture, when the filter gets saturated it will every few minutes. If you don't have a problem with any of the above I wouldnt worry about changing it.

RE: Moisture between glass in door

An 09 should still be under warranty. Tiffin replaces theirs at no charge for 3 years, are they that far ahead of everyone else?? Have you talked to Fleetwood??

RE: The 96 Monaco Exec I want to buy has Aged Out Tires...

Question for the people that say he should go thru with the deal as is, if he found a problem with the engine and it would need a overhaul would you still say the same?? How about the tranny going out?? How many of you would still stay with the agreed on price? I don't think any of you would. It's easy to spend someone else's money. I would offer him 3k less for new tires, if he doesn't agree keep looking. As already mentioned, there could be several more things he hasn't told you. You don't have a deal until the money has changed hands, agreeing on a price is not a binding contract.

RE: The 96 Monaco Exec I want to buy has Aged Out Tires...

If you haven't paid him any money you are not obligated to go thru with the deal. If you have given him earnest money then it is a different story, but is still open to negotiation.

RE: Best source for ISL air filter

I had a Monaco tech recommend that the filter be changed every 3 years due to possible deterioration from heat, moisture or other factors and the catastrophic results if it did. I figure for the small price Speedco charges, I will follow the Monaco techs recommendation. What air filter do you get at speedco for $6o? They have charged me that much for a fuel filter. I would like to know the filter number so I can call the speedco I use to use and see what they say.

RE: Best source for ISL air filter

Change the filter every three years?? If you only have a 100 hours on it you still change it in 3 years?? If you use a quality filter it will not come apart. Read the instructions that come with the filter, it will tell you what the intial reading should be on the filter minder. Anything over that is a problem in the intake system. My filter has a 5" vacuum new and that is what the minder showed. If you change the filter too soon you lose filtration. Read the paperwork that comes with the filter, it will tell you that most people on here are wrong.

RE: Fuel / water drain sucked air instead of draining

Does it have the electric fuel pump like Cummins that comes on when the ignition is turned on?? If so have someone turn the key on while you open the drain. It should have a water sensor that will tell you when you get water so their is really no need to drain it.

RE: Windows rattle

With all of the problems you have I would call Winnie and bypass the dealer. Let them know how much time it has been at the dealer and you want it fixed and the warranty extended. Can you call the CEO or does Winnie make you go thru the chain of command that stops before you get satisfaction??

RE: coach doors

I would contact Winnie, they should repair them under warranty. Do they not have the 5 year construction warranty like Tiffin??

RE: Selling DP, new tires or not?

I always put new tires on the MHs I have sold. It helped on the sale, did I get my money back?? I don't know because I have no idea what they would have paid with old tires. BUT tires were a lot cheaper then, which may make it harder to sell now with old tires.

RE: Motorhome mask

Thanks for the reply chastho I too have Diamond shield thats brown and ugly and I thought a bra would cover the unsightliness. I still don't know where to get a custom bra made in my area.Order one online, they have patterns for almost every motorhome made. Coastline is one that comes to mind. MCD in McKinny, TX is another one.

RE: Motorhome mask

The bra will last a lot longer than the 3M film. A motorhome bra is not like one for a car, if it fits right there will be no dirt behind it to mar the paint. The Diamond Shield on the front of mine looked so bad I removed most of it. The bra will last a lifetime if taken care of and only takes a couple of minutes to put on and take off and is cheaper than the film and a lot easier to remove. There are several companies that make custom fitted bras.

RE: New Coach Discount

Instead of worrying about the percentage call the factory and get the price and spec sheets, send it to as many dealers as you can find. Take the lowest offer you get and use it to negotiate with the dealer of your choice.

RE: Carry fuel?

I carry a couple of gallons of diesel in the basement in case I have to change fuel filters. As for as the bomb theory that would be a small firecacker compared to the 150 gallons in the tank.

RE: Auto Air Leveling vs Auto Hydraulic Leveling

If Monaco is still using the 3 point jacks there is no way I would want them so that would answer the question for me. If it was between HWH auto jacks and air I would choose HWH.
