RE: Tecma toilets

I HATE THAT THING...our popped a piece of plastic down into the toilet from the water spout...I have a new water spout but it is a PITA to put on...the motor had to come apart after pulling toilet and out the plastic piece came....so the toilet works...I wouldn't buy another coach with that thing ever again but we had no choice with this floor plan at the time.

RE: Our new 2011 HR Endeavor 43DFT

While I love the recliners...I end up on one couch, my wife on the other and the bullies in between...the couches we kept because of the bullies...when I want a recliner, I use the passenger seat and turn it around etc...and it does OK...I use the dining room table for the computer desk...not the perfect setup grant you..but with the dogs, it balances out...

RE: American Coach Revolution 42W

While my economics tells me to buy used, the DW says NEW...the DW trumps all economic laws known to exist.....:B By the way Mark, your white Toad in pristine condition leaks as much oil as the day it was new,.,.(sorry, I couldn't resist)..:)

RE: Carrier A/C's run, then labor, then trip breaker

2 possibilities...contact Stag-Parkway distributors and see if they have one left...or contact PPL..they might have one in Tx...other alternative is to switch to Coleman-Mach which does fit with an adapter plate easily available....you could also contact Carrier and see if they can find a unit in someone's stock that could be shipped...

RE: How did it start? (update)

RE: Carrier A/C's run, then labor, then trip breaker

One of my Carrier AC's did that...it fried the unit and was replaced under warranty...the joke is I had to find a shop and the Carrier warranty shop wouldn't do it because Carrier wouldn't pay him enough time...and unfortunately Carrier dropped the AIR V units...you could check some places on the net to see if one around...or Coleman/Mach now makes a unit that fits and functions the same way with a special adapter plate.

RE: Trailing arms please respond

While I have the RR8R chassis, I can't tell you how many people I have met that had your chassis...It is not a question of if, it is a question of when and if that when is on the highway at 60 mph you could end up dead from loss of control or even worse, hurt someone else...That's the best 2500 you've ever spent and I guarantee you that you will not be sorry. It's terrible that Monaco had this thing, but you have may have saved your life and someone else's....

RE: Anyone ever use a cheater box?

I used ours on an overnight stay just before the Harry Nice bridge from Maryland to Va. (hate that bridge)...it did its job..of course, I did have a polarity checker that I did use before I plugged it to double check that I didn't have a bad post..it's good to have and use but unless you can verify your source polarity...just be on guard...as stated before it will not work with a GFI post

RE: Happy New Year !!

For 2011, this board got me into gear to save money in doing my own maintenance....and not being afraid to tackle something...nothing so great in admiring the work you did, and not handing over a large check to pay for it.

RE: Screaming sound I can't figure out

If you have propane, you have a propane alarm (RVIA code)...it is somewhere along the floor as propane is heavier than air....those wires probably are the wire cut out that allows the propane regulator to open...

RE: Screaming sound I can't figure out

what just popped into my head is your propane alarm...reset your propane alarm...if it goes off....it also cuts the propane....if you have already reset your propane alarm..I'd go to the tank and shut the valve..propane alarms are usually near the floor by the refrigerator or stove...

RE: did you buy an rv for your pet?

I can tell you this...the motorhome and doing things with our dogs definitely blended in....yes it was a part of the decision...but not a driver in the decision...but our dogs make the best RV companions and they love it...and all have become better adjusted dogs over it and much more social and well behaved because of the RV..

RE: Update on levelers and camera problem

Your autolevel might have to be set...Check your owner's manual.for your jacks or you can find it online.

RE: Power levelers problem-low voltage

If the jacks run off the house batteries, then start the generator and try it again...mine run off the chassis batteries and I have to have engine running when I use them (there is a way around that, but I deal with the owner manual way of running the engine)...not sure how yours are wired...if your gene wasn't running and it's off the house batteries, the motor could pull enough voltage but not enough voltage (13.3v for mine)...to make that light turn off.

RE: Feedback on Damon Astoria

get the price down if you can...then pay the 250 for a mechanic to look at it..This is a decent coach at a decent price from a decent company. Pursue this...you really have nothing to lose if it fails. and with this market..the bank wants it off the books.

RE: What is Monaco thinking??

As long as they have Taylor Spike running the service/tech support lines, it's an awesome crew on the phones willing to help...everyone knows the meat of what they are doing and that is why I won't dish Monaco that bad...I have the support I need and my own brain and two hands to get me through the rest of it...I also have to say that the suppliers of the components have stepped up to help me when needed..some needed a bit more pushing than others but in the end all was fine.

RE: Heater Question

It depends on your set up...on mine, the heatpumps (roof air in reverse) pump heat in until the temp dips below 43...then the furnace will kick on...there is also an over-ride if I want furnace only..your setup should be something similar if you have heat pumps...if not, when you switch system to heat, the furnace will kick on.

RE: '02 Holiday Rambler Ambassador

It is an 02...the bad chassis is the RR4R chassis with the trailing arms...it most likely has the Roadmaster RR8R chassis...I heard tha radiators in these had some bad issues...If the radiator is original...check for leaks...not that you wouldn't be checking anyway.
