RE: Double pull in Baja?

I've been doing it for years ( see signature ) Baja has not been a problem. Arizona is!! They insist the first tow must be a fifth wheel in order to tow a second. Last year I got a warning, in writing. I wonder how long before that drops off. Oh, and I had to unhook at Wilcox and have the wife drive the car.

RE: Opinions on 1997 Georgie Boy Cruise Master

We had a 97 Georgie Boy class c and liked it well enough that when we bought new in 2006 we went with a class A Pursuit. I think they are a good product for the money.

RE: My last few days in Mexico!!

We plan to leave our 'second home' April 18. We have mucho frozen fish & shrimp to take home. Will put it into a cooler and ice it down. If it stays frozen, even though we are in San Felipe, we will go on to Lukeville to cross the border. I don't like to cross at San Luis and besides, I can be to Lukeville in the 2 hours wait time it usually takes at San Luis. Sure wish dry ice were available here in San Felipe.

vacation from the vacation

We have been here south of San Felipe since October. Tomorrow another couple and us are going south as far as Mulege or possibly farther. We have no set travel plans but do plan to make several side trips. We have two decks of cards and a set of bocci balls. If you see a white Nissan pickup and a silver Tracker with 4 old folks playing bocci on the side of the road, stop & visit. Life is good in the Baja!!

RE: High center

That is part of the reason we have the motorhome we have now. I wanted a used pusher, but none that we looked at would have cleared the sharp incline of our driveway. I didn't want anything I couldn't keep at home.

Hello everybody! It always brings a smile when I remember all the friends we made and the fun we had at the Sweetheart rally. If we wern't so far away we would surely attend. If I can remember how to post a picture I will show y'all what we do with our time here south of the border. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii300/bigdog1941/toy.jpg height=280 width=320 http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii300/bigdog1941/15lbhalibut.jpg height=280 width=320 Bigdog2 & Juanita from Baja

RE: Would you Wax your RV?

Would you Wax your RV? I did once, now I call Carlos and he comes to the campo with a barrel of good water. he and his 2 boys wash and wax ( with turtle wax ) for $2. per foot. Comes to $70 for our rig. Best money I ever spent. I have it washed in the fall and washed/waxed before we leave in the spring.

RE: Learn Something New Every Day...

I use a small amount of dielectric grease on the AC receptacles and plugs down here in Baja where everything gets full of sand when the wind blows. Never thought about it, but don't see why it wouldn't work on battery cables and it is conductive.

RE: Devil's Backbone - Baluarte Bridge

We traveled the road from Durango to Mazatlan in 1999. It was the most beautiful scenery we had ever seen. Where is the new bridge in relation to the marker of the devils backbone?

RE: Slide is Slow

I was having the same problem. I cleaned the outside front & rear of the slide room, cleaned under the awning and the rubber seals. Sprayed all those areas with silicone spray. I do that about twice a year. I think what was happening was the resistance was so great it was tripping the relay which is what stops it when all the way in or out.

RE: Euro chairs

We replaced the sofa bed, which wasn't much of a bed to begin with, with 2 Ekornes recliners with ottomans. We love the chairs and now our motorhome is designed to sleep only 2 ;)

RE: Question for Alfa owners

Gotta love this forum, 19 replies to a question and 4 were actually useful. My friend has done some research and is satisfied other than the question about the roof. Thank you: Gatorcq Gypsy tech Tom Lucky 13. To the rest of you, well thanks for bumping the post, I guess :R

RE: Question for Alfa owners

Hola Tomas, I did that, but didn't want to spend $25. just to ask a question. I see y'all already have a good group together for Kerrville.

Question for Alfa owners

A friend is looking at a 2004 Alfa motorhome. Don't know which model. He says it has a king dome recessed into the roof. That part of the roof is fiberglass, the rest is rubber. That would scare me. My question is: did they come from the factory that way or has it been altered?

RE: The truth is now being censored

I remember they were having money problems last year and mentioned they may quit. I believe these are a bunch of retired customs agents providing a free service.
