RE: montana llc for new motorhome

I just watched Fox 9 News in MN. They had a story on people registering their motorhomes under a Montana LLC, even though they live in MN. It seems they are going after all of these people, because MN law says you must register it here. They also said that if the tax evasion was over $300, it is a felony. If they are looking into this, I bet other states are as well.

RE: RV fire at Canyon claims occupants

He was 35....his son was in 6th grade and his daughter in Kindergarten. All way too young.

The occupant was the brother of a co-worker. Very sad.

RE: No lying... this is a rant

I have already purchased the Red Max but had second thoughs when I read that it only enhances what is already there. If it is splotchy and marked up from bad detailers won't it just look worse once I apply the Red Max? I suffer from OCD and would probably endure a heart attack if I made what I have now look even worse!!!

RE: No lying... this is a rant

If it's as bad as you say it is, it's time to do some negotiating especially if damage has been done. If you don't think it's worth the bother going to the owner then maybe it's not that bad. Don't wait another day. JMHO You are right, I'm going to meet with them on Tuesday and we'll see what comes of it.

RE: No lying... this is a rant

I almost forgot to add that their shop has a huge sign out front that says "We detail RV's and Boats"... it made me believe that they had expirience in this department. He informed me that the two guys that were going to work on it had been at it for 7 and 9 years. Okay I'm done, I'm now going to have a cocktail... or two... or three...

No lying... this is a rant

I had a detailer come out and look at my RV and give me a quote of $10 per foot for a full buff and wax. My RV is 38 foot long give or take a ladder. It has seen it's fair share of sun on the passenger side which is where my concern was, along with the faded stickers. He left me with alot of confidence that it could be cleaned and that it would shine up great. I left it with him for three full days and you should see the results. It utterly looks like a 15 year old came at his first time! It looks worse than when I brought it in, there is still wax on it that they never took off after applying it. They buffed the clear coat off of the storage compartment handles and the lower half that is painted now looks all splotchy. The real kicker is he said that it was harder than he thought and he was going to charge me $13 a foot. It is so bad that I'm not even really angry... I'm depressed! He let me take it without payment only because I asked to talk with the owner of the bussiness and I think he doesn't want that. The problem is even if he doesn't charge me it is going to cost me to fix what he has done. I almost think it needs paint work now. This is by far the worst service of any sort that I have ever received. I'm leaving for a trip tomorrow at lunch and I'm embarrassed to be seen in my RV... DANG IT ANY WAY!!!

RE: Okay Red Max Pro experts, question for you?

My real concern is the "splotchy" appearence that my RV has now will only look worse after I apply the Red Max Pro. How do I get that "even" look before I apply? Like it has been said before the surface must be clean and free of all wax and dirt.

Okay Red Max Pro experts, question for you?

So I decided to take the plunge and apply the Red Max Pro to my RV. I have read that whatever condition your base is that it will only high light what is there, how true is this? Case in point, last year I purchased color matching wax that made my old stripes look like new. After using Barkeepers Friend and Dawn dish soap to remove stains, streaks and wax my stripes look like******again. Now I'm afraid to seal them over and have them look like******forever. Can I use Red Max Pro over my waxed stripes without any issues? My other concern is I scrubbed hard to remove the black streaks from the rubber roof and now there clean marks where the stains were. I don't have the strength to scrub the entire RV that hard. I'm assuming that if I seal it like that it will look like******also! So my final thought is if I have the RV detailed can the Red Max Pro be applied after and it looks great forever? I'm guessing that I'm in a fantasy world aren't I?

Slide Out Explanation Needed???

First I will tell you what I have and then I will explain my "Twilight Zone" issue. I have a 2004 Fourwinds Windsport on a F53 chassis with triple slides. The two bedroom slides are half slides with an electric lock mechanism operated by a switch right next the slide out switch. Last fall I put my RV in an inside cold storage building with the slides in and locked. Half way through the winter the storage center manager called me to let me know that my driver's side rear slide out was out about 4" (by the way this is the slide that has the bed and headboard in it). No problem I went out and pulled it back in and locked it again. Three weeks ago I picked it to bring it home and the slide out was out the same 4" again? Once again I pulled it back in and locked it. Now it has been sitting in my driveway for the last three weeks with no problems until today I get home from work and the slide out is out the same 4" again! I asked my wife if she had been in the RV and she said she hasn't touched it since it has been home. So my question is: How on earth can this be happening??? I hesitate to bring it to the dealer in fear that he is going to think that I'm off my rocker. Somebody please tell I'm not losing my mind and that this a common problem!!!
