RE: Heat Pumps

I just replaced my center heat pump with the same coleman mach model that was orgainally installed. Its on a 2009 Allegro Bus, according to what the service people told me at the Tiffin Service center they don't recommend trying to repair it, just replace it. The extended warranty company did not question this, so it like everything else has probally become a throw away item.

Same here. Replaced unit.

RE: Clunking sound when backing up.

Could be a number of things, where is it coming from, if you can tell?? I could be the pin moving in the fifth wheel hitch, usually there is an adjustment to remove the slop. Also check all mounting bolts on the hitch, including all frame brackets, check the pin box also.
It sounds like it's coming from the axles.

Clunking sound when backing up.

My brother has a Montana fifth wheel. Curious when ever he is backing
the trailer, it makes a loud clunking sound, metal against metal. He claims it is normal??? I guess i've never heard these sounds from other fifth wheels. Is this normal?

RE: lights dim

I had the same problem with our 2007 Bounder.
Get rid of the junk convertor. Your problem will
be solved
I have a 2007 Fleetwood Bounder motor home. I have two 6 volt batteries that came with the motor home for the house. When using the house lights at night, the lights will dim rather slightly but certainly noticeable and then I assume the converter switches on and the lights immediately brighten only to go through this same dim to bright routine in about 20 minutes. I notice no other electrical appliances being effected such as the TV. The motor home has 50 amp service plugged into shore power.
I have a 2006 Fleetwood Bounder with new Batteries. I have noticed the same problem. This spring I am going to have the convert checked out.

RE: What else do you use your motorhome for?

Ultimate man cave. HD TV, satellite, climate control, fridge and bathroom all within five steps of the sofa. Plus big engine, big tires, big fuel tank. You know, guy stuff.
Was thinking of changing the window screens with something that looks more like 2 X 4 wall studs and the carpet color to a concrete type color to complete the effect.
That's Great!!!

RE: Good place for fried chicken-San Antonio/Austin Area

Just returned from San Antonio elast week. I lived there for a few years and we ate at Earl Abel's every week. Earl's has a long history. The restaurant, started in 1933, stayed at the same location until five years ago. Not the same as it used to be but their fried chicken hasn't changed. You can still get it to go. A couple of weeks ago, they had a run on chicken, a bucket for 10 dollars. I was told the line went on for hours.
Earl Abel's
Located on Austin Hwy in Terrell Hills between Broadway and Harry Wurzbach.

RE: 2003 Fleetwood Bounder 35E toilet drain problen

You need to fill bowl with extra water for flushing. This should solve the problem. It works for us.
