RE: I-10 arizona/california border gas price

Thanks MarkW.....
Loves doesn't charge for CC either. Either stop is the best around. I live in Quartzsite and use them both.

RE: I-10 arizona/california border gas price

Right now gas at Zip, about 30 miles east of Q is 3.89, Loves is 3.95, Texaco and Flying J is 3.99.
Diesel is cheapest in that order also.
The ZIP is at mile marker 45 on I-10. That is about 30 miles east of Quartzsite. I make the drive once a month and they are always cheaper for diesel than any of the stops between there and the border. The have RV pumps that are easy in and out and are never as busy as that mess at the Pilot in Ehrenburg.
Right, I said 30 miles east of Q. I don't know if Zip has RV/car diesel at a cheaper rate than trucks, but the Loves does. Usually about 8 to 10 cents cheaper but it is not advertised. RV's can pull up to the last pump and there is plenty of room.

RE: Algondonas Dental Work...?

I've been using Dr. Parra for three years. Cleaning, x-rays and a crown. They were recommended to me. I have been very happy with them. All of his staff live in the US and he and his wife got their degrees at Loma Linda University in CA.

RE: Who carries a spare tire on your trailer hitch?

When you decide to buy new tires (say in 7 years) for your motorhome because they have aged, do you throw your spare out and replace it also?

RE: Horrible Accident, 5 found dead in motor home

I read the linked article. It is looking to me that most likely, they had all been partyingand drinking etc, got back to the RV, whick looks to be a 5er or TT, and started the generator. The article mentions an access door that was not closed properly possibly from the earlier mentioned reason. It mentions high levels of CO but also mentions CO2. No mention of windowws being open, vents open or on, drawing air in or out. It's a very tragic event and I think we could learn from this if more details were given but I suspect Alcohol is the primary culprit here and possibly some other substances too.
I read the attached link also and after I read your comments I went back and reread it to see what you saw and I still can't find it. What makes you think that Alcohol or other substances were invoved? Do you have some inside information or are you just guessing? If guessing I think it is in very insulting to them and their families.
I agree with you. An uncalled for remark. Is it because they're bikers? They were there for a good cause and you make them look like outlaws.

RE: SWITCH AT DOOR SHUTS DOWN 12VOLT

It goes back to it's middle position. Push the bottom to turn the 12v off and push the top to turn the 12v on.

RE: Quartzsite

I will need wi-fi for my computer, will that be possible in the dry camp areas?
Do you need Wi-Fi, or air card coverage? Wi-Fi is available at the library or if you pick up someone's unsecured Wi-Fi. Air card coverage is usually pretty good.

RE: Quartzsite

You can use the Long Term Visitors area or dry camp for free all around Q on BLM land. There are cheap RV parks in Q (you just have to shop around) and out in Rainbow Acres there are rental lots for $250 - $300 a month that includes electric and full hookups.

RE: Advantium 120 died?

I love the Advantium oven, but a couple of days ago it started popping the breaker. First starting popping when we used it, now popping as soon as we plug it in. Please let us know what you find out.

RE: Another Class A catches fire

I have to believe that there is something more to this story. The owner has dementia/alzheimers, consumed too many illicit/immoral substances.....something? Let us hope that this was not just an honest mistake. Glad everyone was OK.
???? "Let us hope that this was NOT just an honest mistake" Huh? So, you want it to be an 'on purpose' mistake? It sounds like it was a very unfortunate situation. Illicit/immoral substances? what are those? I've never heard of immoral substances.
I'm just glad everyone and the animals made it out OK, the MoHo can be replaced.
MM.
I was wondering about that post myself.

RE: Montana LLC

It is illegal to cheat the tax man by doing things like that. Some states (California and Colorado I know for sure) have gone after the Montana LLC types and assessed them the lost taxes and fees and penalities, often in excess of the value of the motor ome. Several other states have considered it (I have not looked into it in a few years so I do not know the status of that)
My recommendation is don't do it. Pay the tax man up front, costs less in the long run that way.
You don't know what you are talking about.
One of you doesn't, and it's ain't him
Washington also considers it tax fraud, if they catch you, the fines are ugly, 2x the taxes and fees owed, plus the taxes and fees.
A couple years ago California did an interesting thing, their tax people took over one of the "fruit" stations, they checked on the ownership if every Montana registered MH, if the owner was an LLC, they wanted the California driver to have a commercial driver license.
That I am aware of, they won any and all court cases involved.
We have had Montana LLC's for 10 years with several different coaches. Last one bought in CA. We took an out of state delivery. After the first year we got an exempt certificate from CA because we met their regulations. We keep track of everywhere we are and meet the laws of CA, AZ, etc. It's the people who live in their state full time, work, have kids in school, etc. that the states are after. Otherwise why would they have the exempt laws? One giveaway is having a MH with Montana plates and a toad with another state's plate.
We go into CA a lot through the I-10 border checkpoint and have never been stopped to check our registration and license. I had a CA drivers license but when we bought the 43 footer I changed states because I would have needed a Noncommercial Class B driver license to drive a motorhome over 40' with a CA license. It was easier to change to another state than go through the trouble.
To the OP......if you follow your state's laws about out of state registration, you can have a LLC with no trouble. Talk to Bennet Law firm for accurate information.

RE: Montana LLC

The OP asked for a company in MT that does LLC's. Why does everyone pipe in with it being illegal?
Give the guy the info he requested and let it go at that. He has his big boy britches on and he can make his own decision.
