RE: I just bought a new car

There is nothing like a Mustang. I remember when we got ours. We were looking at a Taurus and was going to take it for a test drive when I told the salesman get that Mustang ready. My husband just shook his head and guess what we bought, the Mustang. There're fun to drive. Ours is older so every once in a while we rent a new mustang just for the heck of it. Congrats on the new car. Wise choice.

RE: How would you handle this?

My advice is to change the setting on your face book for him to Add friends to your Restricted list. That way there will be no hard feelings. Then just do your job like you always did and hope management does their job. Sounds like there is more to the picture.

RE: Tired of Product Videos

I have gone many times to U-Tube to find instructions on stuff. My husband built a canoe dolly by watching how to do it on U-Tube.

RE: I have been naughty.......

I have been getting these phone calls lately. I called my phone company and they told me that you have to Register each year with the Do Not Call National Registry 1-888-382-1222 You have to call from the phone that you want blocked. I did this yesterday and no phone calls at all. I was told it was going to take 30 days. This site states it is non-expiring. All I can tell you is what my phone company told me. My CID showed 6 calls from 904-000-0000 the day before I called. Now no calls at all.

RE: Ridiculous bank fees

It also cost to handle cash and checks. The bank I worked for many years ago had A Walmart account. We would have to close down two tellers to work the night drop bags. A manager from Walmart at that time had to be at the bank when the bags were done. All money had to be counted in front of them. They wanted us to add the checks up too but the bank put it's foot down on that. We charged them for the time it took us to work their bags, for each strap of money that was in the bag and the proof department charged them for the checks they deposited. We also charged them for each roll of coin they bought and strap money. They bought ones. I know we charged 5 cents for rolled coins each. I really think it's cheaper for them and every other large company to take the plastic. Walmart got a deal as they were so large. I also met Sam Walton. He came into the bank. He had overalls on with a plaid shirt. No airs about him at all. He cashed a check. We were all shown his picture before hand so we knew when he came in but he waited in my line like all other customers.

RE: Credit Card...that's what I use...what about you ?

I pay for everything with a credit card that I get points with. I get to choose how I want to take the reward usually a check. My husband and I both use that card but we also carry one different card each. That's just in case my purse or his wallet gets stolen, We have those other cards to fall back on.

RE: Ridiculous bank fees

I was in banking for over 20 years and with the bank I did bank at for 24 years. Different names because of buy outs. I always had a loyality to Banks but the best thing after I had trouble is going to a Credit Union. My daughter had a check for 45.00 dollars made out to her and she signed it over to me as I gave her the cash for it and was going to the bank. I was going to deposit it in my account which is joint with my husband that had a balance of over 10,000.00 at the time. They would not take it for deposit and said it was a third party check. I said she also has an account here. Said I couldn't deposit in that account either because she signed it over to me and I signed and put my account number under her signiture. Manager was called and he wouldn't approve it for deposit. I said you see that Credit Union over there, I going there and opening an account. I wrote out a check for 5,000.00 and took the cash to the credit union. Not only were they nice, they took the check for 45.00 for deposit. I am now a Member and not a Customer. The benefits and the way we are treated is outstanding. They helped us get all our direct deposits transfered, they are open late on Friday and also on Saturday. They are busy and the bank across the street empty. The bank's name starts with a B but it's not the best bank in town.

RE: E-Bay / PayPay 1099's

No need for foreign countries to pay taxes. That is what duties at the border are for. That is also why so many foreign orders are listed as gifts on the packing slip - no duties on gifts. Its like tax evasion but by a different department. Just for fun - check out some out of country ebay sellers. Some claim, right in the ad, that they will declare the items as gifts to safe you the customs charges. Thanks for the info.

RE: Baked potato salad

If I am just going to make a small batch of potato salad, I cook my potatoes in the microwave. Then I make like I would my regular potato salad which includes celery, onions, raddishes, cucumbers that I take out the seeds, and Mayo. Mix all together and top with quarted hard boiled eggs and paprika. I would say that would be close to bake potatos as it is a dryer potato than boiled.

RE: single cup coffee makers

We have two...Keurig and a Cuisinart. We really like the concept and the Great cup of coffee they make. We like the Cuisinart better..It has a lot of brew size choices and will accommodate a tall travel mug by using the removable tray feature.. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41n8xkin0sL._SL500_SX300_SY390_CR,0,0,300,390_.jpg height=250 This is the machine that we have. We had problems with it and brought out our old coffee maker. My husband and I could not stand the coffee from the old maker and he told me to get a new machine. We had this one for about a year and bought it at Beds Bath and Beyond. We still had the box but could not find the recipt.I had heard BBB were really good so We packed it up and took it back and they could have not been nicer. Even the manager of the store was helpful. Said to pick out what ever single coffee maker we wanted. We were going to go with the Vue but I had so many boxes of the K-cups and the Vue doesn't take them. Also had just bought the new solo cup to make your own coffee in, which by the way is GREAT. The manager even came over with us. I said I still love that machine the best but was afraid to get again. Said take it and try another one. Manager said we have a no limit return policy and if it stops working in a couple of years bring it back. He had the same one and his was working fine. We have been using it and is working good. Doesn't matter if we use our own coffee or the K-cups, it's the best tasting coffee. I could never go back to a regular coffee maker. As for Bed, Bath and Beyond one of the BEST stores around. This coffee machine is 199.99 there but used the 20% off coupon. Might sound high to some but much cheaper than buying out and a really good cup of coffee. This machine has so many features. Also I am going to buy some expensive white tea to put in the solo cup. I can change the temperature on this machine as tea should not be brewed at a high temperature. AS for the old coffee maker, it's in the trash. Taking up room I could use to keep my T-FalĀ® ActiFry Low Fat Multi Cooker. Another great product bought at BBB.
