RE: Parking at Disney world for 35' RV

Animal Kingdom Resort has ample parking space if you are staying there.
The Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs Resort does not have parking for your MH. If you are staying there, most likely you will be told to park in a specific area in the SSR parking lots.
As far as parking at Fort Wilderness, that overflow lot is for FW guests.

RE: Ducted a/c, turn on and styrofoam comes out. ANTS GONE!!

Think the problem has been solved. While at a campground we had ants coming out of the rear AC roof vent by our 1/2 bath. Sprayed ant killer around vent and seemed to solve the problem but when we got back home they came out again.
Purchased room bombs and sprayed directly into AC intake and then placed on the floor. Did this to both front and rear AC. Four hours later found more ants dead on the floor. Let MH sit for a day and bombed again. More ants! Sat another day and bombed again. More ants but this time little ones, big ones and some big ones with wings.
Going to bomb again tomorrow.
Fingers crossed.
Thanks for the ideas.

RE: Another way to carry a unmounted spare tire

Well, how does he secure it? Tie raps, chains, weld it, super glue?
I get nothing from this post other than confusion.Me too! Because many DPs would not have room under the coach. I know I would not. No frame rails under there either. All flat and enclosed except in front of front axle and behind rear axle, and can't put it in either of those areas either. I have two choices - in a compartment or on the roof.
On the roof might work well with a tube in the tire to cut down on the weight. It would be easier to get up there and down.
Use some helium in the tube and the tire might just float up there then you'd have to secure it down to the roof.
deereone, thanks for the original info. :B

RE: ROOF A/C PROBLEM: A MYSTERY!

THANKS sailor-lou and dougrainer. I must have the 12 button since mine defaulted to cool.
The 12 button has only been out for 2 years. What year model do you have? Doug
2009, so guess it's not a 12 button. Could be wires or coil?

I get nothing from this post other than confusion.
One could always look under one's MH to see if a spare tire could be mount some place and then use one's imagination as to how one would mount the tire. Maybe duct tape? :h

RE: Seasonal Site..Leave the fridge on or turn it off each time?

Reading the replies where fridge has been left on for 20 years and nothing ever happened reminds me of the dog owner who stated that the dog never touched a soul up until it malled the little kid.
Turn it off and what can happen?
Leave it on and that is why you have insurance. Just in case.
p.s. Just had a friend, who owns a RV repair business, tell me about the RV he had to write up an estimate for because of the refrigerator caused fire. Fire Department determined it was fridge caused and estimate was TOTALLED.

RE: How do ya fix a wobbly, leveled coach?

You can use screw jacks under walls at 4 corners.
Do NOT do this, if a jack fails or you hit the store button you will rip the body apart.
The HWH jacks are mounted to the chassis, so you will get a little movement going from one side of the coach to the other. Go underneath and make sure the jacks were mounted to the outside of the chassis and are tight.
Good point! Guess I must have been real lucky all those years that nothing ever failed and without engine running the jacks wouldn't operate.

RE: Ducted a/c, turn on and styrofoam comes out. ANTS GONE!!

Actually if they had really used Styrofoam you would not have pieces come out. Are the pieces like small white pellets?
Styrofoam is a brand of extruded polystyrene produced by the Dow Chemical Co. Their marketing color is blue. It will not break down into small pieces.
What you are seeing is expanded polystyrene beads - bead board. It is not as strong as extruded polystyrene.
Calling every kind of foam styrofoam is as accurate as calling every motorhome a Winnebago.
Thank you for the expanded polystyrene (bead board) vs. styrofoam lesson.

Ducted a/c, turn on and styrofoam comes out. ANTS GONE!!

2009 Bounder and just had styrofoam with some wood chips come out rear ceiling vents when I turned on the a/c. I'm thinking in the assembly process a screw was driven through wood and into the duct releasing the bonding of an area of the styrofoam resulting in breakage that will undoubtedly continue.
Anybody run across this? If so, how was it handled?
I guess I will have to find a plumber with a drain camera to snake it inside to find out what is happening.
Thanks for any assistance..

RE: Shopping for a new car I like . I can't find one.

Just the opposite for me, I think the selection of nice, good looking cars to choose from today is better than it has ever been. Look at the family sedan's and suv's, they ride great, handle even better and the base motor's have more power than almost anything had back in the day. Now look into the current sport and muscle car realm, the power in these things is bordering on ridiculous. If I had the funds to blow on a car today it would be on a Mustang Boss 302.
Boss 302 would be nice and so would a 2013 Shelby GT500. The Terrafugia would be way cool to own.
I agree that the selection is greater today and for myself, the desire to own a Muscle Car from years past has diminished.

RE: Sun covers for tires

Geez, ask a simple question and HOLY COW!
I purchased these Camco covers to protect the tires and alloy wheels from sun and DIRT. Don't like the mess from rain hitting the dirt and splashing the mud onto both.

RE: GMC MH 4 Sale,

A very good friend bought an almost new GMC and loved it. He did many upgrades and found problems that were design related. Replace the 455 Toronado exhaust manifolds on his own and hated every hour of the job. Replaced the brake lines, installed a fridge after the original died when they were staying at Bahia Honda. Had to cut the side out to do so. As a professional engineer and owner of a huge contracting business, work performed on the first USA nuke sub and project for the Lunar Rover, he was impressed with the GMC and thought GM should have continued production.
GMC
NOTE...Fuel tank had problems with pinhead holes in the upper surface.
