RE: Anyone pulling a 4 door Jeep?

mowermech, is on the button on this. They arn't required, but and a big but I know I reduced my stopping distance by 45 feet or so at 30mph. Pulling a Jeep with 4700lbs. As far as I'm concerned thats a worth while investment, when trying to make a panick stop. JM2Cents. Bill

RE: Anyone pulling a 4 door Jeep?

Yes there should be brakes, and a break-a-way system. There are several options since there several different systems. The Brute Ready Brake is prohaps more econimcale then most.

RE: Over all length

It's not controlled by any state, its a DOT federal program and I think you will find 65' from stem to stern.

RE: Bent my Happijack leg drat!

Just a little tip when trying to straighten, buy bending. Fill the tube with sand and pack it as tight as possible. Then try bending it back. The sand should help keeping it from kinking. JM2Cents Bill

RE: Swamp cooler

I've heard tell that during August and some times during July that even a swamp cooler is just about useless in the neck of woods.. Check with folks around and about that has'em. They'll tell ya for sure. JM2Cents BillHe's talking about using them in the Southwest.
NOT new-yawk where the humidity is higher than Timothy O'Leary.

RE: had leaking water heater, left white deposit on paint on mh.

I have gotton mine off with just a wet rag, taped over the deposit and then some plastic taped over that, for about .50 hour. The deposit disovled and was an easy clean up. The ball is now now in your court. Bill

RE: need help connecting satellite to system

Looks like a Hurricane. But in any case you connect you satelite dish to the back of the satelite receiver as it was in your home. Then where it says TV Out, that goes to the back of the distruibution box (the one with all the buttons) where it says satelite in. Presto you connected. Select you front TV button, then Satelite and then you can check you set up.
This will allow you to switch from locale over the air to satelite, front and back TV - Bill

RE: Holding Tanks

Your second question, does it require a vent, yes it has to be vented. You can look at engine31 solution, picking up a blue tote, and you can empty that as needed. I think you find most folks back in the 60's and 70's stayed at campgrounds, they might spend one night along the road side when traveling., I rememeber paying just a few dollars for a camp ground back then. RE: Holding Tanks

I beleave back then, you only had one holding tank, and a chemical or cassett john as mentioned above. Since the Chemical lasted about 5 days or so many uses, you then dumped it in the holding tank. I think you'll find that it will fill up rather quickly with everything going into on tank and that tank only holding 35 gal. Good Luck and have fun. Bill

RE: Cable Connection in Bedroom

You might have satellite, but will need to know more......
Year and make of your RV, Satellite company, and is one of those receivers that handles two TV's, and is set up proberly with a signal strenght indication on the set up menu. Just for starters.
I know in my rig, I have dish, and feed both receivers into the system so we can watch two different stations. On is on the composite side of the receiver and the other on is on the Ant side of system. I switch the TV input to the different receivers. JM2C's Bill

RE: Slide out with or without storage compartments?

As far as I'm concerned, the slides under are head bangers for sure, They have left several impressions on my bright balding head. The best of both worlds is a pass thru, that will allow a ladder, broom hands, and thing else that needs depth. My new coach couldn't handle a 6' folding ladder, so it's tied to the ladder on the stern. But you have to make to the call on the unit you like, there are trade offs that you have decided you want to live with.
Good luck and hope you enjoy whatever you buy. Bill

RE: Prepay Internet Service

Just a note, you can check the Virgin coverage map, have a look see for whats covered and what isn't. I use the Virgin and found the coverage good along most interstates, and droped of quickly after getting off. I pay for one month at a time. When I'm home I'm on my Cable, when on the road I just renew the card. JM2Cents Bill

RE: Generator will not stay running?

Might also be the fuel pump. If you haven't been running as reccomended, water will setting in will take it's toll. I known that for a fact. Ran for a few min's the would shut down. JM2cents Bill

RE: Coach Batteries

I beleave the OP is taking a c converter, and his batteries arn't converting. You will have to use a Meter and and back track on it. Measure the voltage at the batteries, then plug the coach in and the voltage should come up if it's working. If not then you will have to start going deeper and check the fuses and the power out put at the converter. Good Luck Bill
