RE: run away country fest!

I have a Genturi too. It helps a lot, but it does not eliminate all of the fumes.
I reserve the right to run my generator whenever I want and for whatever reason I want...period!Usually that works, but in cases of crowded spaces and no wind, generator exhaust can be not just stinky, but deadly.
Unless you have a Genturi like I do...

RE: Windshield Covers, what do you like?

Another happy Promptscreen user. I always smile when I see the other guys drag out their ladders to install their snap-on screens. With Prompt, I install it in 3 minutes with no ladder. I have had to replace the suction cups every 3 or 4 years. No big deal.

RE: 10 Year Old Tires

It's not that simple. Yes, insurance paid, AFTER I paid the $1000 deductible. And then they raised my rate at the next renewal. And I lost the use of my RV for three months while it was being repaired. And I had to drive it 200 miles each way to the repair facility. (More $$) And I was lucky that there were no personal injuries or worse, this time.
Don't push your luck!

RE: 10 Year Old Tires

When my four year old right front tire blew out at 65MPH, I was lucky that I was in the right lane and was able to wrestle the coach onto the shoulder. Had there been another car on my right I might well have hit him. The damage to my coach cost $10,000 to repair.
So, do you or do you not, like Russian Roulette. I for one, will never have a tire more than 7 years old on my RV.

RE: Roadmaster Invisibrake vs. US Gear Towbrake

I have the US Gear brake, and it comes with a diode whose sole purpose is to assure that the exhaust brake does not activate the tow brake. This has nothing to do with the sensitivity setting in the cockpit, which just determines how hard the tow car brakes when you step on the RV brake pedal.

RE: select comfort sleep number bed

I have the Bear Bed and love it. See post above by Wilpower.
Highly recommended and half the cost of Sleep Number!

RE: Omni Directional Antenna

I have seen numerous complaints about the omni-directional antennas. They don't seem to be strong enough except in strong signal areas. I wish they were, because I hate having to re-point the antenna when changing channels.

RE: Buzzing GFCI

I have had the same situation for years. I just ignore it. It is not loud enough to bother me. Hasn't seemed to affect the operation of anything.

RE: Travel to Florida

If you are visiting Davie, I recommend CB Smith Park or T.Y. (Topeekeegee Yugnee) Park, both Broward County parks. They have spacious sites and full hookups, and are convenient to all manner of shopping and to major roadways. Each park is about 5-8 miles from Davie. I would call them and if they are booked, ask to be put on a cancellation waiting list. Click here for more info.
Good luck.

EzFlo

I am looking for a product called EzFlo. It screws onto your bathroom faucet and stops the water flow. There is a stick that hangs down and when you bump the stick, water flows momentarily.
It is a nifty water-saving device especially for boondocking. After seven years, mine is shot and I would like to buy a couple of new ones, but cannot find them online. Does anybody know a source to buy this?

Anybody using Winegard Sensar Pro?

I would like to get a user report on Winegard's new Sensar Pro signal finder. How effective is it. Is it easy to use, and how time-consuming is it to scan the channels?
