RE: Buying else where

Forest River says their dealers "take care of their customers and other Forest River customers who are traveling" I don't think many RV's brake down when they are not being used (at home), but more often brake down when you are using them (away from home). We got our last two out of state, the last one 800 miles from home. All the components can be warrantied by an approved RV repair man, you don't need to go to the dealer.

RE: RV Park Superguide?

The OP "asked them twice" to give him an example, if he asks them anything they can and will keep sending him replies.

RE: No Parking Brake

Disc brakes but drum e-brakes. As I remember they cost about $300 to $350 each side if you need the whole set.

RE: break away brakes

Some charge thru a diode only when you apply the brake, some charge with the same wire in the 7 pin that charges your TT battery.

RE: Traveling w/ a pet, check this out

I don't like some breads of dog but unless the dog was emancipated I think all the blame goes to the owner of the dog not the dog itself.

RE: Round Bar play. How much is too much?

We have an 8 year old Reese with round bars. Last year we got a new TT and last wall I got 1000 lb bars to replace the 700 lb bars. The old bars were loose and the new ones were loose as well so I knew it was the hitch head that was worn. After about 15,000 miles the new bars stuck in the head. I just put on the new head and without the slop it works much better. The ride is back to the way it was long ago.

RE: Wheel bearings!

I'm with Skip on this one, bearing should go atleast 25,000 or 30,000 miles befor they need grease if no grease came out. How often do you repack the wheel bearings on your car?

Yes you can do it but don't try to put it in low at 80, watch the RPM's. I use 2nd from time to time.
