RE: Gray/Black Valves open or closed when hooked to sewer?

HI; I agree with most which is keep the black closed until it is 3/4 full and then dump the black and follow with a dump of the grey (grey should be at least 1/2 full. Jim2007

RE: Traveling with no reservations . . . .

HI; We live in colorado and have been camping for six years. During the summer months the camp ground in the mountains get busy and it is best to make a reservation ahead of travel. This is true for both the national park site and the commercial sites. For cross country travel (travel outside of Colorado) we make reservation also because my wife like to know where we will be each night. The max. distance we travel in one day is about 550 mile. This distance means one fuel stop and besides after that distance we are ready for break from traveling. Happy camping! Jim2007

Hi: I use Michellin LTX on my 2004 Dodge 3/4 ton truck which I use to tow my 5th wheel trailer. This is my second set of Michlellin. The first set (same type tire)went 50,000 miles (about 20,000 of the 50,000 was towing). Happy Camping-- Jim2007

RE: Used Diesel Horror Stories?

Hi: I have a 2004 Dodge 5.9 diesel with 81,000 miles on it. I towed a 5th wheel (under 10.000lbs) about 25,000 miles (the rest of the milage is without tow). No major problems to date just maintance and one new set of tires. Jim2007

RE: How does a flat tire get changed on the road?

Hi: I have a 5th wheel and I change the flats on it myself (don't want to wait for my emergence road service to show up). However, if a tire on my 3/4 ton Dodge goes flat I call the emergence road service company (I can not do all the lifting needed to change the truck tire). Jim2007

RE: zapata

Hi; The lake is used by the drug people to move drugs into the US. This is a high crime area. Suggest you find a different spot to spend your time. Jim2007

RE: Black Water Valve

Hi rbp111; I have A 7 year old Forest River 5th wheel (flagstaff/this is a starter unit) and to date I have not had a problem with the dump valves. I always store the unit with the tanks empty and the valve gates closed. I live in Colorado which has freezing weather in the winter and warm to hot summer temps. Jim2007
