RE: keystone cougar

We have a 2002 Laredo made by keystone. I bought it used about 2 years ago and am very happy with the quality. There certainly are better units out there but for the money I will keep my Laredo.

RE: How to attach Hitch back on Rail???

I have a little trouble getting my hitch into the rails also. Like someone said earlier I use a rubber mallet and the hitch pops right in.
Once the hitch tabs are in the rails three off the pins side right in. The fourth one needs a little help from the rubber mallet.
The tolerances are so tight, that if the rail are not installed perfectly it can be a struggle to mount the hitch.

RE: Homemade 5th Wheel From the Ground Up

I'm surprised anyone is giving this guy a hard time. How is this any different than someone who builds a hot rod from scratch?
They do it because it's their hobby and they love it.
I doubt the OP will dame any money. You just can't buy material one piece at a time, whether it's steel for frame and wood for the cabinets, and complete on price with company's that do it on a large scale.
Now, if the man loves the work, produces a higher quality finished product, and I proud of his accomplishment, than I say good for him.

1984 KZ Sportsmen

Does anyone have a picture of a 1984 KZ Sportsmen 9 foot TC?
I could not find one online. Anything a year or two either way would be fine.
A friend of a friend has one for sale but it is an hour away. The seller is an older gentleman who does not have the ability to email a picture.

RE: Cable

At one time I owned a 1984 Honey class C. It was wired for cable from the factory.

RE: What a disappointment

There is virtually no way you can keep their deposit. Don't waste money on an attorney, take your Realtors word for it.
A home inspection is not a pass or fail thing. It is a report of the condition of the house and a description of the building materials used.
Most purchase agreements have an inspection clause that says the buyer can get out of the purchase if they are unhappy with the results of the inspection for any reason. The inspection report does not have to be bad. If you read the report, I would be willing to bet that the inspector did not say that the 2x4 construction was a defect. He just documented that thats what the house was.
Now if the buyers wanted a supper energy efficient house they may be truly disappointed to learn about the 2x4 construction. The average home buyer is not expected to notice this type of construction detail at the time they made the purchase offer.
They have a valid reason to get get out of the contract. I know the OP is disappointed that his deal fell through but there is nothing they can do.
I know many of the readers on this forum are knowledgeable can do type of men. Most of you would have recognized the type of construction right away and would have made an offer or not depending on your needs. But the average home buyer knows very little about construction.
The buyer may in fact be using the inspection report to get out of the deal because of buyers remorse or some other reason but unfortunately there is nothing you can do about.
P.S. I have been a home inspector for 18 years.
