We also gave up RVing for a period but soon realized the TT was a better way to go than motel's. Ours is a 18 foot Rockwood 1809S Mini Lite. Also think it is perfect for the two of as we will be 78 at our next birthday.

Am I the only one that visiting family determine our destination? About 10 days ago we left our home in KS to visit a dying family member in Indiana. So thankful to have the past few days with her as she passed away this morning.
Also thankful to know she is spending her first day in Heaven on a Sunday!

I surely hate to see it go. It was a 1995 Dodge Diesel Class C 25 foot Scotty with 50,000 miles on it. Garage kept since new.I love it and kept it ready to go.It goes next week.I am 72 now and she thinks it time to stay home and off the roads I guess.I am thinking of buying a backpack and take off when she out shoping and never look back and keep going I don't know where.Boy I feel low.I know I will never have a another Motor Home like that.Where does a man that worthless go? No fun getting old I guess.
Snap out of that low feeling! By reading what other camping equipment you have it doesn't sound like you will have to quit camping. At 73 I thought we were thru with the fever so sold our 5th wheel & the ton dually diesel we pulled it with. The rest of the story is - we soon realized we enjoyed traveling too much to hang it up. So at 75 years of age we bought a new smaller trailer that we can pull with our 1/2 ton Chevy p/up.
This coming Wed we leave out for a two month trip visiting the wife's siblings in IN, grandchildren in OH, daughter in IL & cousin's in WI

As long as it's made for holding tanks it should do just fine. If it's for septic tanks it will be pretty worthless.

Do you mean it flows back enough water to overfill your fresh water tank? Or is water coming from the city water connection?
If the later it could be just a bad check valve in where you hook up.

RE: is that air in lines after de-winterizing??
Leave the hot water bypass on, connect to city water and open all the faucets including the outside shower; also run the toilet. After letting all the air out, i.e. no or few bubbles, turn the hot water bypass off and let the tank fill. You should be ok.
This is the steps that I go thru - also open the pop-off vent on the water heater to let the air out.

Welcome to RV-Net just wonder what you call a little guy camper - we downsized to a 18 foot TT but only after 18 months being without a camper. As some one else stated due to my wife's disability having our own place when we visit family & friends have also fount that works the best for us. We named ours "The Little One"

Since we downsized from a 30.5 foot 5th wheel to a 18 foot travel trailer we find the smaller unit we can park it almost any place. Such as children & grand children's driveways!! Works great for those short visit's.

Dale 662 go for it. Due to an accident I lost my father when he was only 62 - on those many years later I have often wished I could share some of the sites I've seen traveling the highways of the Good Ole USA!
Trust when I am 93 that my one daughter who is a travel nurse & son in-law will take me on a RV trip. But for now wife & I are both 77 & planning a trip starting in May hitting the states of MO, AR, KY, OH, IN, & IL to visit family. June 3rd we are to be in Indianapolis, IN for the birth of our 4th great grand child!
