RE: Which generator setup????

Would the EF3000iSEB be enough to start any A/C? Yes. I would expect this unit to start most AC units.

RE: Qts to cubic feet?

Go to google.com In the search bar type 60 qts to cubic feet It will tell you 2 cubic feet. Siri will tell you the same if you ask her.

RE: need new truck

I was in a similar position and my 2003 Duramax was replaced 3 months ago with a gasser. It was the right choice for me. I found the difference in mpg to be similar to the difference in fuel costs. I didn't want the huge up front cost, lower cargo capacity, and opportunity for another $2900 injector repair. Gas isn't best for everyone, but it worked for me this time.

RE: new battery rack

I would expect 3 12v to have more capacity than 2 6v. This would be the way to go since you want max capacity. A set of 6's may give around 220ah while 3 of the 12's may give 375ah.

RE: Music download transportability

Simple solution: Spotify! www.spotify.com. You can download the app to your computer, your droid, iphone, ipad, android tablet, etc. Spotify gives you unlimited music streaming to ANY song that has EVER been released digitally. Anything that you can buy on iTunes, Amazon, etc. can be heard on Spotify, AND synced to your phone or device for offline listening. It costs $10.00 a month for unlimited use. So, it's ONE CD a month, or downloading 10 .99 cent songs. Spotify streaming works over 3G/4G or wiFi. Create a playlist that you want to take with you, and sync the tracks to your device. Then you can listen to them anywhere, without a connection. I sound like a commercial! But seriously, I use it all day, every day, in every vehicle. I can listen in my truck using my droid phone, then I go in the house and open the MacBook and keep listening there. Any artist, any song, anytime. It's also on my wife's phone and her tablet. We both always have music everywhere. $10.00 a month that's drafted automatically out of my account. This looks nice. The premium at $10/month gives you the ability to download over 3,300 songs on up to 3 mobile devices. I only buy about 1 album per month so the cost would be about the same. This would give me access to everything until I cancel and then I would have nothing.

RE: Campground Oops

Sometimes things happen. Even when you have good intentions the occasional mishap will occur.

RE: RV Extension Cord

I try to position the RV for the best spot based on trees, view, etc. Sometimes this doesn't line up well with the utilities. That's when I'm happy to have extra extensions.

RE: Yamaha Clone

A 3 year warranty and 51 db sound really nice. I didn't see anything about being able to parallel two of them?? That would be an issue for some. At that price I would only consider it if you can pair two of them and THD will let you bring it back there for the warranty period. Otherwise, I would likely spend a bit more for a blue set.

RE: bumper hitch for 23ss roo

I'll throw in an early vote for putting the bikes on the front of the tow vehicle or the front of the RV. I have done both and each worked well. It's nice to be able to see them and know there are no problems.

RE: 2011+ Chevy wheel ratings

there is a DOT requirement to have the wheel ratings printed/stamped/etc on any wheel sold for public road use Check the wheels you are considering, their rating is on them somewhere This is perfect. I didn't know there was a requirement to put the weight rating on them. Is it a code that must be cracked like tire dates or just an actual number?

RE: 2011+ Chevy wheel ratings

Are you sure their factory GM take offs or dealer installed take offs. If you are referring to my 18" wheels, yes they are factory installed. The option shows on the GM sticker under factory options. The rear gawr is still based off of the tire limits for the base 17" wheel.

RE: 2011+ Chevy wheel ratings

Click here. Above is a link to a thread where I upgraded my 2003 factory wheels to a set of newer factory wheels on the last truck. IIRC, the wheels, caps, and lugs were $150 on Craigslist. That upgrade worked out perfectly. I was not the OP on that thread. You have to skip toward the end to find the details/photos.

2011+ Chevy wheel ratings

Does anyone know the capacity ratings for the new 8x180 lug pattern wheels. My 2500hd came with the upgraded 18" (steel) wheels that are base wheels for the 3500hd. The factory tires are rated at 3525 each. I am more concerned about function than looks. However, if you can have both.....why not. I have been seeing many of the polished 18" and 20" factory take off wheels as well as the machined 17" wheels go cheap on Craigslist. I would be interested in dressing up the old Chevy, but not if I'm going to lose carrying capacity. Edit: doesn't look like I can upload image shack photos from the iPhone. Worked fine on my old android. http://img163.imageshack.us/i/imageacg.jpg

RE: The electrical has me confused

If it is going to be a rare occurrence I would do exactly as you mentioned. Use the inverter you already have hooked up at the battery with an extension cord to the TV. If you plan to use it frequently I would look at a more permanent install.

RE: Question About Slide Toppers

Too much slack. You need to have 1 or 2 extra spins on the tube before it is mounted back.

RE: Doing a Spring Over on my TT

New spring perch welded to the other side of the axle for this job. The axles I have seen could not be turned upside down. The local trailer repair guy charges $75 per axle plus new U-bolts. Takes them a couple of hours to do it.

RE: Poll: do you own a TT and a Pop Up.?

I would prefer a TC as my second unit.

RE: How can I tell if I am exceeding my TV capacity?

The best method for me is to go to a scale such as those at truck stops. Even somebody with a similar rig may find their actual numbers are much different than yours.

RE: How Cool...I'm in an advertisement for Torklift!

Slow down folks. Torklift requested pics from their customers to be used in ads, online and print. They only used submissions from volunteers. Nobody showed up in an ad without permission.
