RE: Downside to quieting the water pump

This is why we rarely hook up to the campground water system but prefer to fill the FW tank. Ours isn't as quiet as yours but is tolerable.

RE: Towel Bars

If you use dry wall anchors like E-Z Ancor (the kind that screw into the wall and the holding screw goes into it) sometimes the wall is so thin the anchor wants to back out or go right thru. The first time you screw in the anchor try some sealant or glue on the threads and let it dry before installing the fixture.

RE: Perspective RV'er needing opinions

Two suggestions: First go to www.rv.org for The RV Consumer Group's review of any RV's you are looking to buy and go to www.rvknowhow.com to read the Kieva's suggestions on how to decide on an RV for its livability.

RE: Dumping my tanks ...

If you have time after dumping turn off the water pump and look down the toilet to see what the water level is and compare that with the sensor reading.

RE: Newbies headed to Yellowstone

You can search this Forum for lots of information. I suggest staying at Grizzly in West Yellowstone and taking the two bus tours; north loop and south loop with a day in between where you can tour West Yellowstone and the Wolf/Grizzly Sanctuary near the campground. The tours take all day which is why I suggest a day off in between.
It's senseless in my opinion to drive all the way to Yellowstone then drive all around the Park trying to see what the guides will explain and take you to during the tours.
But that's me...

RE: I want an RV!!

Take a look at www.rvknowhow.com and read the Kieva's suggestions on how to select an RV. It goes way beyond whether or not the tow vehicle can pull it.

RE: NC to Niagara Falls (by way of Boston)

Do a Google search for `______ tourism' and put in the town/state/area of interest in the blank.
In the Boston area stay in Foxboro at Normandy Farms and take the bus tour of Boston. It's a fantastic city but DO NOT try to drive around it in your own vehicle!

Lots of previous posts if you search for `vacuum' on this Forum. Then you can search the results for `stick' or `central' etc.

RE: Arvika Bike Racks

We use a Saris Cycle-On rack for our two adult bikes that mounts into a receiver on the front of our tow vehicle.

Near the Art museum is a fish hatchery where they pump the little critters from one tank to another and they survive!

RE: Applying for social security

For sure you will get a benefits letter in December stating what you will be paid the next year and in January or early February a 1099 statement of what you received the year before. The latter is an especially important document because it is used to figure your income tax.

RE: Lifting Trailer for Tire change or Maintenance

We carry a Trailer Aid `ramp' to change a tire on the road.
I also have a bottle jack to use at home but it doesn't have the lift necessary and I have to lift up the RV in stages when I rotate tires; two at a time.

RE: New to forum, and lots of questions

Does that mean that you have not been RVing in the past but in two years will go full timing?
In the meantime, you might want to rent an RV for a few times before jumping into the deep water.
