RE: New Orleans to The Woodlands TX

Headed to Montana next month from Orange, Texas. I will be taking I-10 to Beaumont and then take Hwy 90 to the Beltway 8. Almost no traffic from Beaumont to Barrett. I take this route by car to visit friends in Crosby. 1960 between Huffman and I-45 is usually a nightmare. I can not find out how to handle tolls on the Beltway 8. There are no manned toll booths on the north east side. Been told they will snap the license plate and sent me a bill with a small up charge. Also been told that I should exit off Beltway 8 prior to the cameras and get on the feeder roads. Feeder roads are almost all 2 lanes and in good shape.. Now sure how I will handle that.

RE: Texas Folks need your suggestions

Whatever you decide, I would get reservations first because of it being Memorial Day.

RE: Wheel balance?

That's what I suspected, I'll call them first thing in the morning. And tell him that $15/per is way too much.

RE: Medicare Help

I suggest you call 1-800-MEDICARE. When the FIL had to be suddenly placed in a nursing home, he did not have they drug plan because he was using the VA for medication. Was afraid he would be penalized. Because it was a "life changing event" he was not penalized. They were fantastic. They can help select the best drug plan if you need it. If you call have a list of medications and any other info. you can think of. They man the phones 24/7. I was told to call after 8:00 P.M. my time. Live person answered after 2 rings. Gave me her name and how to reach her if I had any more questions.

RE: Million Mile Chevy Duramax LBZ

They must have never worked it. The chronic overheating would have got them. MM49 Overheating? Nonsense. Know anyone with a 2006 LBZ that overheats?

RE: Access to book marked sites.

I do have IE and under Internet Options the settings are the same on both computers but 1 computer does not allow me access under IE/MSN whereas Chrome does. I am satisfied enough with Chrome that I will install it on the second computer. Chrome allowed me to use MSN as my browser and transferred all my favorites. Chrome, from what I can tell, does not allow favorites as a side bar but just under the browser in a link called: "Imported from IE". A click on it brings up my favorites link. Under Internet Options/Security I have those 2 sites added as "Trusted Sites" Thanks for your continued input.

RE: I hate to say it.

Come on now guys. Supercharged makes a post and we have half of you guys agreeing with him. Is there someone out there who will call him a troll? O.K., I will start. Super is off his meds. and trolling again.:B Maybe, but I get a "charge" out of him. Ok, that was lame but I do get a kick out of his threads. He does cause one to stop and think-Sometimes.

RE: Access to book marked sites.

Wittmeba-Getting familiar with Chrome. I have learned that it will take me directly to MSN when I click on it. This gives me pretty much the same options as I had and allowed me to download and keep all my favorites which was a concern for me. I have to click on a overhead link instead of having it down the side of an open page. Where are the "configuration" pages you refer to?

RE: 2008 holiday rambler savoy lx

I have a 2007 32SKT LX with 3 slides. About 40,000 miles on it. Had to change the tires to new 16" rims and tires because of the ST's beginning to fail. Had a crack on the outlet nozzle of the black water tank that I repaired with JB Weld the first year I bought it and has not leaked again. No warranty issues and everything works as good as the first time I took it out. A mid-level entry rig that I would buy again. I think it is a good, solid rig that was a great value for the money. Bought new bulb seals and a new fiberglass wheel skirt from Monaco in Oregon. Doesn't appear to be any problem with parts of that kind. Installed the wet bolt system 2 years ago and new brakes and drums last year. Wished I had replaced the drums with 8 bolts before I bought the new tires. Two of the Chinese shocks froze up and were replaced with Monroe's. A hairline crack developed and ran at an angle on hitch end of the bedroom slide after the second year. Runs from a screw holding the seal about 4 inches long. Has not gotten any longer the last 4 years. I believe the screw location caused it. As with any rig, one should do a good check to make sure there has been no water damage. Look under the rig and see if the Coroplast has been cut. That would indicate that there may have been an issue in that area. Check my profile and see the states I have drug it to. East coast, Kentucky, California and Grand Canyon have been visited twice. Will head to Wyoming, Colorado, Montana and both Dakota's next month. You can P.M. me if you have any further questions. Good Luck.

RE: Access to book marked sites.

emiddleb-Changed from "Check Automatically" to your suggestion with no change. Wittmeba-Changed to Chrome and now able to log on to the sites that I had problems with. Will have to poke around to get familiar with a new browser. After several years with MSN, I will miss it.

RE: Replace stock shocks?

Changed the Chinese to Monroes. I believe there is a difference. Regardless, one should check them. Two of the 4 were frozen up and 2 had no response. Believe the frozen ones may have prevented springs from flexing as they should.

RE: Access to book marked sites.

Lee, changed the user I.D. and password via the other computer but still no luck. I copied/pasted the message that I was receiving on the log on page to my search engine: Your Account Login The Username and/or Password does not match our records. If you have forgotten your Username or Password, click on the "Forgot Username / Password" link. Brought me to a number of suggested sites, only one of which was the GM Card site. Page opens and says "this appears to be the site you are requesting" When I open it, I am back to my oringinal log on page.

RE: Access to book marked sites.

CharlieD, when trying to troubleshoot a computer problem, the more information provided greatly increases the odds of success. For some reason, you can't/won't provide a lot of details - like operating systems, browsers, versions, specific websites, etc. Without details, everyone is just making WAGs (wild a$$ guesses). So, in the words of the sharks on Shark Tank, "I'm out". You're out because I won't provide details? Doing the best I can with the little computer savvy that I have. I think I answered all questions to the best of my ability. What questions have you asked that I didn't answer? I use MSN with Bing. IE-9-One website is HSBC credit card (I use the GM Card) The other is Edward Jones. I have 12 other sites bookmarked as favorites that allow me access as they have always done. It would help if you let me know what you need to know. If I can't provide it, I will ask for your help so I can find the info. you request. History, cookies and such are not cleared when I close. I do occasionally clear my history and cookies but then when I open bookmarked sites, they ask for user I.D., secret question, password, etc. Some sites allow me to leave the user I.D. filled in unless I clear the cookies. The 2 sites I have problems with always ask for user I.D. regardless of whether the cookies are cleared or not. This is a new problem within the last week or so.

RE: Access to book marked sites.

The credit card site, after the user I.D. is inputted, shows my balance and pending charges. :h Great! With only a userid, you get your balances. Why have I been wasting time with companies that also require a password. If the same sites keep asking for the answers to your security questions, it's likely that your browser is clearing some needed information at the end of each browsing session. I use IE 9 mostly and discovered that I can set it to clear history, cookies, etc after each session EXCEPT for sites that I have in my Favorites. After user I.D.,it shows balance and pending charges but will not allow me to open either to check and see what they are. I don't understand how the browser could affect the 2 websites. All the other websites on same computer will open after input of the correct informations. accsys-works as you said. Every time I open a site from another computer, the secret question is always asked and then I am asked if I am using a public or home computer.

RE: Access to book marked sites.

Not a "caps lock" issue. Only problems are with the 2 mentioned. Have 6-7 other sites that work O.K. This lap top only. Other lap top works fine. I know I am on the correct sites because they are identical for both computers and show the "lock" symbol and are "https". The credit card site, after the user I.D. is inputted, shows my balance and pending charges.

Access to book marked sites.

I am unable to use several bookmarked sites after doing so in the past. One is my credit card that I payoff every month. Sites opens up and it asks for my user I.D. Once entered, it asks for my secret question. Once entered, it takes me to a second screen where I enter my password. Upon hitting enter, it takes me back to the password page and says" You have entered the wrong user I.D. or password, please reenter. Doing it s second or third time brings me back to the password page. My brokerage account asks for my user I.D.. I enter it, hit enter and it asks me a security question. Once entered, it brings me back to the user I.D. page, then to the security question, back to the password page. The password also has an emblem to identify before entering passworrd. I initially thought it was the credit card site but a phone call to them, they said their site was O.K. Cookies are not the problem. I have searched to make sure that these sites are not being denied access. My second lap top allows me to get to both of these sites without issue. Any help would be appreciated.
