RE: Shiny RV with Red Max Pro (pics)

I finished the Red Pro Max treatment on my 2004 Itasca Class C Motorhome and it turned out great. I have been reading about the process on this thread for over 6 months now and finally got busy and got it done. I could not find it at the two Lowes closest to my home in San Antonio. They had several of the Red Pro Max products but not the #3. I did find it stocked at the store in nearby New Braunfels. Very happy with the outcome and two friends who have RV's are now looking to get busy on there units.

RE: Water getting behind cabover front/side molding

Pulling the trim and using new tape caulk is not a bad idea if you can do it right, however I found you still need to use a sealant caulk to seal the side wall and the trim to finish the job. Like I said in my first post this is a potentially serious condition not to be teken lightly or defered too long. The posts with pictures are proof to that.

RE: Water getting behind cabover front/side molding

I have an 2004 Itaska with the same problem. It can be a very serious problem if not addressed. Where you are seing the rust is the bottom point where the water is trying to get out. Remember water flows down hill. Look up higher on the front of the motor home like the marker lights or the trim that joins the front and side panels all the way up to the roof. Use a high quality sealant like Quad brand caulk to seal with. I took mine to a dealer who has a repair tech who is very experienced with repairing leaks and had him go over what I had done. Cost me $250 but well worth it to get it sealed right.
