RE: Comparable to Arctic Fox?

Well we ended up with a Hitchhiker 29.5 LKTG. Loved our Arctic Fox, but the floorplan of the Hitchhiker won us over. Going to miss the Fox, really kind of sad about it.

RE: Is there some advantaage I'm not aware of?

To make folks who are perfectly happy with their rigs, think they have to move up. Marketing.

RE: Need used 5th Wheel Purchase help

I agree the 24-5N is a fantastic small rig. Be aware though you cannot stand up in the bedroom. For that reason we are looking to get into a 29-5T. I will miss this sweet rig though.

RE: SFO Bay area

I hear good things about Anthony Chabot Regional Park. Not too far from where you need. I don't think they have hookups, if that is something you need.

RE: Campsite Decor

We always camp at State and Federal Parks. Love the beauty of nature, and dark nights. That said I think it would also be great fun to camp somewhere that fun lights and decor are acceptable. I would like to do both!

RE: Last time camping in our 5th wheel

We were just at a Arctic Fox dealer this weekend. Peeked in the truck campers, very nice! Our Arctic Fox fifth wheel is great! Good choice in manufacturer.

RE: Favorite California Spots - 19 ft trailer

Sounds to me like you would enjoy our State Parks. On the Central Coast we enjoy San Simeon State Park, and Montana de Oro. On the Sonoma Coast we enjoy Bodega Dunes, also the Sonoma County park, Doran Beach Campground. Both of those are in Bodega Bay. At Lake Tahoe we like Fallen Leaf Campround (federal) and Sugar Pine Point State Park. None of these parks have amenities other than showers and restrooms. What they do have is pretty large sites and gorgeous locations. Can't help with SoCal, we are Northern Californians.

RE: Has anyone tried a vent pillow?

Thumbs up here as well. We have the Camping World version. Maria I'm over The Bridge and up the hill from you! Would that be the tallest bridge where XXX was filmed? :) Yes

RE: Where will you be for the 4th?

I'm sure we're insane, but we will be camping at Lake Tahoe. Like others we avoid holiday weekends. But........this is the time our kids could go.

RE: Comparable to Arctic Fox?

n7bsn, as a former owner of our floorplan you probably get where we are coming from. My biggest complaint is the bedroom. I would like to have some space and height. It would also be nice to have a sofabed (not a jacknife) for occasional extra guests. Mostly it is just Hubs and me. I'm also entertaining the idea of rear living. I think I would like the windows. So do not care for glitz. Solid and quality are our goals. Also probably will buy gently used. We are extremely handy. We redid our 24 5N ourselves, to our taste. Really like the 29ft Fox with rear living. A little concerned about the pin weight. Hubs has not run the numbers yet, as we just started thinking of upgrading. Thanks everyone for your help.

RE: Comparable to Arctic Fox?

Maximum we would like to go is 30 feet (30 real feet). We've not ruled out another Fox, we would just like to compare other floor plans to what is available from Northwoods. I will check out the Cedar Creeks, thanks.

Comparable to Arctic Fox?

We currently own an Arctic Fox that we love. However we are thinking of upgrading in size. Would appreciate suggestions of comparable units from other manufacturers. Thanks!
