RE: Black Water Tank Care

Just want a nice, clean, smell free tank without extensive hassle and/or expense. Thoughts? If you want a nice, clean black tank, you're in for extensive hassle - unless you just quit using it completely. If you want a smell-free tank, then use lots of water and dump more often in hot weather. After 8 years of this, I can tell you you don't need chemicals and a lot of work.

RE: Verizon coverage map -

Yah. I don't even get that message. Google map searches are so much smarter than Verizon. Verizon forces you to have a comma between the city and state or it gags. And the zoom slider works backwards.

RE: Initial Solar Hookup only shows partial watts and amps

Here's a good site explaining terms like 'nominal' and other PV stuff I wasn't very clear on.. Define nominal, Vmax..etc Final project size will be no more than one additional SX panel (510w)Nope! Four panels for 680W with the MS TS MPPT 60.The OP said he was going with 3 panels. I don't understand your response.

RE: Verizon Data- Problem or Scam

Question here: IS YOUR HOTSPOT A SECURE HOTSPOT???I believe they come that way OEM. I myself can't wait to find out just what this data 'breach' is all about.

RE: Initial Solar Hookup only shows partial watts and amps

I agree with piano. If you ever increase your PV array you'll need more controller. Outback is a good choice.

RE: Initial Solar Hookup only shows partial watts and amps

Your panels are 36V nominal. The Rogue 3024 is capped at 24V so it won't work with your panels. Your panels are 44.2Voc. I am amazed you have not let the magic smoke out of your Samlex! I read the spec as 24V nominal. 36v is Vmax. The Rogue is capped at 60voc. He has not let magic smoke out because VOC is for "open circuit".

RE: Initial Solar Hookup only shows partial watts and amps

Was just reviewing all the discussion on this from back in January. Seems like controllers were talked about.

RE: Inputs on my Solar/Battery Design Please

reccomend the 28 day interval on the equalization....seemed a litle frequent to me also.Seems about right. It's either that or wait until they get real sick and do it for 6 hours.

RE: what if?

Yes.. $8 a gallon would be expensive, but I doubt it would stop me. Whether it would stop enough people to close down the Snowbird parks in So Cal would be a greater worry.

RE: New tv in mh

as we travel, if we hookup, will the tv have to find channels each time we stop for the night at an rv park?It will have to do the same thing the old TV did.

RE: Satellite Fee's from Direct TV, city to city free

I really don't understand the mystery of getting your channels while traveling. No, you don't.

RE: Initial Solar Hookup only shows partial watts and amps

Voltage gets clipped from 35+ to ~14 by the controller. The amperage is not converted at all? Watts aren't conserved? That means you must have the same voltage on the PV array as the battery side. Right? If so, that isn't clear at all in the manual. I might have fallen for that myself.

RE: Residency ? on Buying New Vehicle

Seeing how you're going to be in NV for over 1/2 the year, that could pose some problems. I think I'd be contacting a licensing agency in TX...answers here are likely to be guesswork at best.
